Maja Ćurčić, one of the founders of Art Aparat, conducted a workshop with the topic “Using music as a powerful tool for social integration”. This target group for this workshops were young professionals in the field of formal and non-formal education. The aim of the workshops was examining the role of music in achieving social change, especially in dealing with vulnerable groups.
The MitOst international network based in Germany was established in 1996. It is a cultural network with about 1400 members from 45 countries and through its work aims to encourage cultural exchange and active participation of citizens in Europe. Every year, the network organizes various programs of cooperation and runs several international programs for civil society organizations (Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg, Citizens Lab, Advocate Europe, Citizens Lab, Tandem Europe, Actors of Urban Change, Balkans, Let’s get up and many others). MitOst also serves as a platform for developing new forms and expressions in culture.
The MitOst Festival is a place where members of organizations meet annually to talk about encouraging positive changes in society throughout Europe and beyond. The aim of the festival is to connect and achieve cooperation among the members of the network working through their culture in their local community, as well as the cooperation of members through international projects.
Art Aparat is the part of MitOst network from 2018.
